Workshops
Throughout the year, AK Ollin offers special workshops designed to explore new choreography, movement ideas and creative experiences. Open to both current students and newcomers, each workshop is an opportunity to train, create and connect in a unique setting.
-
Each workshop begins with a gentle contemporary warm-up to awaken the body and prepare for movement.
We'll then explore technique through floorwork, isolations, travelling phrases and across-the-floor exercises, before finishing with a guided creative exploration inspired by the material covered during class.
The workshop welcomes curiosity, creativity and individual expression rather than perfection.
-
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We recommend avoiding overly loose clothing where possible, as it helps us see alignment and movement more clearly when giving guidance.
Classes are danced barefoot.
Please note that Fresh Ground does not have changing rooms. Toilets are available downstairs should you need to change before or after the workshop.
-
Please bring a bottle of water.
If you have any injuries, medical conditions or accessibility requirements, please let us know before the workshop so we can support you as best as we can.
To help children feel confident, independent and fully engaged, workshops are attended by participating children only. Parents and accompanying adults are kindly asked to drop off and collect their child at the end of the session.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the workshop begins.
